Finance Administrator

Cadmore Media is seeking a part-time Financial Administrator to assist the VP, Finance and Strategy in performing a variety of financial and administrative duties. Cadmore Media is a technology company that offers B2B video hosting solutions to scholarly and professional organizations, primarily in the non-profit sector. A mission-driven, customer-focused organization, Cadmore works with high-profile associations and publishers who produce media content created by the world’s most prominent scientific experts.

The Financial Administrator’s primary responsibilities will include:

  • Perform bookkeeping tasks for U.S.-based Cadmore Media Inc. (in Quickbooks Online)
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks for U.K.-based Cadmore Media Ltd. (in Sage accounting software)
  • Monitor payroll in the U.S. and the U.K. (payroll management itself is outsourced)
  • Pay bills and contractors
  • Raise client invoices and follow up on timely payments
  • Conduct monthly cost analysis
  • Manage and review clients service agreements
  • Keep an organized file system
  • Work with UK and US tax accountants to prepare tax returns

The Financial Administrator’s additional responsibilities may include:

  • Ad hoc reporting
  • New hire onboarding and paperwork
  • Holiday schedule management
  • Assist in managing corporate minutes
  • Assist in drafting corporate policies
  • Other ad hoc projects

Job requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or similar, or extensive experience in financial administration
  • Proven experience as a finance administrator or similar
  • Practical experience with accounting software (Quickbooks and/or Sage a plus)
  • Practical experience with Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes
  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Standard of compliance and confidentiality

Job details

  • Permanent part-time position
  • Schedule: two or three days a week, ideally on a set schedule
  • Remuneration: £20,000 to £23,000, prorata
  • Location: Permanent work-from-home; Oxfordshire, U.K. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.K.
