Marketing Specialist (UK, Remote)

Cadmore Media is a self-funded technology startup that provides B2B video hosting solutions to scholarly and professional organizations, primarily in the non-profit sector. We offer a suite of applications and services that spectacularly improve workflows and the user experience for videos published in the Research, Education and Events sectors. A mission-driven, customer-focused organization, Cadmore works with high-profile associations and publishers who produce media content created by the world’s most prominent scientific experts. The entire Cadmore team works from home, using Slack and virtual meetings to stay connected. Primary development and business operations are split between two time zones (U.S. Eastern Time and U.K.).

We are looking to fill several new positions, including a Marketing Specialist role who will be primarily responsible for:

  • Keeping the company website up-to-date;
  • Managing the company’s social media feeds;
  • Drafting and distributing press releases;
  • Monitoring and sharing industry news;
  • Creating marketing materials;
  • Working with designers;
  • Assisting with lead generation;
  • Assisting with client proposals.

This is an ideal position for an early-career team worker with an interest in scholarly publishing and marketing. We are looking for the right person to amplify Cadmore’s visibility, with an emphasis on our own story and our own voice. This position will likely evolve as the company grows. Excellent editorial skills are required; a working knowledge of social media and marketing technology is preferred, as well as experience in scholarly communications. We hope to find a candidate with an excellent work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities, and a willingness to learn as you go in a flexible environment.

Preferred education: university degree.

Preferred experience: experience with scholarly communications and/or marketing.

Required skills: excellent editorial skills.

Bonus skills: strong social media presence, working knowledge of marketing technology.

Salary range: £18,000-£25,000 depending on experience.
