*The new partnership brings SPIE’s 55,000+ video assets to Cadmore’s streaming platform*

BELLINGHAM, Washington, USA – [SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics](http://www.spie.org/), has announced [Cadmore Media](https://www.cadmore.media/) as its new streaming media partner.

SPIE was an early adopter of multimedia in academic publishing and began recording conference presentations for dissemination in 2012. The SPIE Digital Library, the world’s largest collection of optics and photonics applied research, contains more than 52,000 conference-presentation recordings.

These conference recordings along with video interviews, promotional content, and online-course offerings will now be hosted and streamed utilizing Cadmore Media’s industry-standard suite of services. Cadmore’s centralized management portal offers scalable API-based workflows for loading, tagging, enriching, transcribing, segmenting, and streaming SPIE’s media content.

“SPIE has been watching Cadmore’s growth with interest over the past few years,” noted SPIE CTO Scott Ritchey. “We are confident that Cadmore’s academic publishing-specific approach will allow us to achieve more with our streaming media over the coming years, and we look forward to growing our library of content with them.”

“SPIE has been a trailblazer in scholarly and professional media,” said Cadmore Media CEO and Co-Founder Violaine Iglesias. “We are delighted that they have chosen Cadmore as their partner to host such a major collection of video assets. We look forward to helping SPIE take their media content strategy even further in the future.”

Cadmore’s embedded media player has been configured to align with the SPIE branding, security, and publishing standards. The platform dovetails with the Society’s commitment to deliver engaging research to a wide global user base. In addition to being compliant with all accessibility guidelines, the media player empowers the end user to engage with the content at their preferred speed and with as much or as little text as desired.

**About Cadmore Media –** Founded in 2018 by scholarly publishing and streaming media professionals, Cadmore offers a media management and streaming service that enables scholarly and professional organizations to expertly publish video and audio content. The streaming media platform offers the world’s leading publishers and societies new ways to use their media assets to increase engagement, accessibility, and discovery. www.cadmore.media.
